Book Cover Final
This is what I have created as a cover for the story that I will be illustrating. I have taken inspiration for this from the like in the book that says "Ruby holds up a a jar: six black tadpoles squirm in an inch of water". I have also tried doing this piece in the style of Jon Klassen, by cutting out shapes out of watercolour textures and layering them in photoshop.

Colour Choices
Triadic Colours
Complementary Colours
Monochromatic Colours
I have decided to stick to monochromatic colour scheme for my book cover because it gives off a calmer feel to it and it relates better to the story where the colour blue is often repeating.
Monochromatic blue colour scheme links better to the title it self; 'The Deep', which gives the viewer an image of water/ocean etc.

Cyanotype
This is how my Cyanotype has turned out. I have decided to take a diving helmet and make it seem as if the whole ocean if flowing out of it. This is thematically connected with 'The Deep' which contains imagery of the ocean and ocean creatures, but I have decided to take a more creative step into showing that.
The first image is the original with corrected colour contrast and the second one is with inverted colours and changed hue into blue.
Personally I think that the inverted cyanotype looks better because it makes the main subject of it stand out a lot more than on white background and with light blues.

Aspect to Aspect final
Some of the images didn't turn out as well as I expected, however most of them turned out very good. I could have chosen different images for example a different picture of the girl which has more detail and more shadings so that I could use more colours.

Aspect to Aspect WIP
Firstly, I have started off with putting layers of ink onto tracing paper, ready to scan it in and to drag it into photoshop.
I then dragged it to photoshop to threshold all of my layers, and layered the ink sheets and applied colour. I tried out different colours including the green, but blue turned out to look good and decided to stick with that.
